How Does it Work?
Express Server is designed to operate with existing image servers and leverage the dynamic properties of the wavelet-based MrSID(r) and JPEG 2000 image formats. Both MrSID and JPEG 2000 are inherently multiresolution - you never need to pyramid your imagery - so loading imagery into Express Server is almost instantaneous. Express Server is able to serve large images quickly because it extracts and delivers only the pixels users need as they navigate an image. Demo: Without Browser Plug-in Demo: ExpressView Browser Plug-in With Express Server, you can serve your images natively as MrSID or JPEG 2000 data by using the free ExpressView Browser Plug-in, or let Express Server deliver imagery as lightweight JPEGs. Regardless of the method you choose, Express Server delivers only the pixels users need and supports the workflows that make sense for your workforce and your customers. |
